Workshop Summary:  This workshop is not just a lecture but an interactive exploration of the many facets of understanding and providing care to persons with dementia. We aim to empower the person living with dementia, caregivers and care partners, as well as providers.  By helping in understanding behaviors related to dementia, developing strategies for effective partnership, and learning to embrace the journey through artistic expression, mindfulness, and compassion.

You can expect to hear some case study presentations coupled with new perspectives of understanding through written poetry and storytelling. We encourage you to think of your own experiences and, if comfortable, share your thoughts to foster shared support and discussion.

We can’t wait to see you!
